This Heriz rug was handwoven during the early 20th century in northwest Iran.
It features a strong geometric but well-balanced design in brick, ivory, gold, a rare shade of yellow, and multiple fantastic shades of blue. The central medallion is flanked by two large teardrop medallions. The whole is framed by the main border of alternating palmettes which pairs perfectly with and balances the large central medallion.
In excellent condition for age. The pile is low and densely woven making this rug perfect for a high traffic area.
