This elegant rug is composed of an allover pattern on a red field. The pattern is a variation on the classic Herati pattern, one of the most widely used rug patterns. The shapes are outlined in black and detailed in ivory, orange, light and dark blues, and golden brown. The dainty minor border features a meander of boteh and flowers, while the main border is composed of an ornate palmette design.
In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Low pile, with a moderate handle.
