This Heriz was woven in northwest Iran during the 2nd quarter of the 20th century (1925-1950).
It features the remnants of an allover geometric pattern on a brick-red field with blues, pinks, yellows, and greens. The worn areas have been strongly reinforced with cotton and overdyed with neon pink. The pink highlights the natural wear making it a feature and creating a stunning contrast. A wonderful and artistic marriage of classic and contemporary.
