This Heriz was woven in northwest Iran during the 2nd quarter of the 20th century (1925-1950).
It features the remnants of an allover geometric pattern on a brick red field with blues, pinks, yellows and greens. The worn areas have been strongly reinforced with cotton and overdyed with neon pink. The pink highlights the natural wear making it a feature and creates a stunning contrast. A wonderful and artistic marriage of classic and contemporary.
