This stunning Bakhtiari rug was handwoven in Southern Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century (1925-1950). It features a millefleur field with diagonal rows of small flowers in a rainbow of color. The ivory central medallion is large and spans the entire field and features a rare and stunning slate blue. A checkerboard rose can be found in each of the medallions teardrops. The outer border has a classic pattern of scrolling leaves and palmettes. It has a lustrous wool pile and the handle is sturdy. In excellent condition, with very few signs of wear.
