This Gabbeh rug was handwoven at the end of the 20th century in southern Iran. There is a mix of contemporary design along with the traditional aspects of the Qashqai tribe, including the use of their own hand spun wool. Features a quirky scene of a blue and red “leopard” looking out over a scene of bunnies and deer. Field is a grey undyed wool with an ivory border filled with small geometric medallions. In perfect condition.
