This Gabbeh rug was handwoven at the end of the 20th century in southern Iran. There is a mix of contemporary design along with the traditional aspects of the Qashqai tribe, including the use of their own hand spun wool. Features two leopards in an intense gaze atop a field of undyed wool. The animals are an amber brown with pops of ivory and bright red at the eyes and ears. A geometric border of ivory ground and black diamonds surround the piece. In perfect condition.
