This Malayer runner was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century (1925-1950) in western Iran. It features a wide field with repeating multicolored boteh symbols atop a dark brown ground. Notes of blue, orange and yellow are found throughout the piece, highlighted in floral vines along the borders. Wear is consistent with age.
