This Hamadan rug from was woven in Western Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century. 

This stunning little rug's design is composed of a deep indigo field with scalloped cornices, with a very well-spaced herati pattern in the field. The minor borders feature a soft floral meander, while the main border is composed of a scrolling geometric, reminiscent of eyes, on a sky blue ground.  

In excellent condition, with no signs of wear. Full pile, with a sturdy handle.
