The Qashqa'i are a nomadic group with a strong weaving tradition. This warp facing kilim was handwoven sometime during the second quarter of the 20th century (1925-1950). Two multicolor-stripe panels are sewn together with vibrant silk and wool pompoms, which add texture and depth as does the embroidery forming the border. A truly special piece, in perfect condition.
