Kerman rug from Central Iran, handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This rug features a typical 20th century Kerman design composed of central medallion with cornices in a floral motif. The borders are also floral and curvilinear in nature, and the whole is on a light ivory ground. Blues, pinks and browns of all shades make up the color palette.
In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Low pile thickly woven, with a sturdy handle.
