This rug was woven during the middle of the 20th Century in Southern Iran and likely turned into a pillow some years later.
It features a series of central latch hooked medallions in jade, rust, and ivory on a navy field. The whole is contained by a yellow border of scrolling vines with blooming rosettes. The pillow is backed with silk and contains an insert with zipper access. The original fringe is still intact and visible adding a nice visual touch rarely seen on this type of pillow.
