This Bibikibad runner was handwoven in western Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a small but prominent ivory medallion with a single Herati motif atop an allover Herati field in deep indigo. The field cuts in at both ends giving way to first red then green backdrops. The border is composed of scrolling vines with pops of yellow, green red, pink and blue.
