This Gabbeh rug was handwoven in Southern Iran during the 21st century.
It features big blocks of rectangular shapes interlocking with one another mostly in the primary colors of blue red and yellow, but which sometimes fades into blue green and softer reds. Some of the blocks contain shapes like diamonds or a simple rendition of plant life. The whole is broken up by two striking rectangles in an undyed ivory wool. One in the center of the rug and another around the perimeter framing the whole composition. The pile is densely woven, making this a plush rug.
The condition is excellent unused condition, with no signs of wear.
