This finely woven Soumak was woven in the Kuba region of the eastern Caucasus during the late 19th century. 

The field is composed of dynamic diagonal bands filled with stylized zoomorphic and geometric motifs that are often interpreted as abstract dragons and set against alternating red, ivory, and blue grounds. These bands are interspersed with charming and symbolic filler elements like tiny birds and floral motifs that animate the composition with delightful irregularity.

A superb example of the famed Fachralo Kazak tradition, this nearly square tribal rug showcases the bold geometry and saturated natural dyes that define the best of 19th-century Caucasian weaving. Two stepped red diamonds anchor the rich indigo field, surrounded by stylized floral octagons arranged in harmonious symmetry. A vibrant rosette border on madder red is framed by ivory-ground reciprocal latch-hook motifs and intricate vine guards, adding rhythmic complexity to the composition.

This embroidered textile is a well-preserved example of late Ottoman Armenian domestic needlework, likely produced in the town of Marash (modern-day Kahramanmaraş, Turkey) at the turn of the 20th century.  

The embroidery is executed in silk floss using satin and couching stitches across a black cotton ground.  It features concentric floral medallions, stylized birds and serrated leaves in lively blues, greens, red, pink, purple, yellow and ivory. Notably, two guardian-like anthropomorphic figure

This rare small-format suzani was handcrafted in either the Nurata or Shakhrisabz region of Uzbekistan during the middle of the 19th century.

It is exquisitely embroidered in silk on a luminous cochineal dyed silk ground. The floral composition features scrolling vines and stylized palmettes in rich jewel tones. Likely made as a dowry chest cover or ceremonial cloth this suzani is backed in Russian roller print trade cloth.

It features a variation of the classic rendition of the sewan design found in the Caucasus. The strong shield-like medallion is rendered here with a more boxier variation in a rich red, jade, indigo and an cheerful yellow. It features a nature scene in the style of classical Chinese landscape painting known as Shan Shui. Overshot American Coverlet a grid of squares that utilize red and green wefts over an exposed white warp to create various patterns including stripes, diamonds and snowflakes. The top unbordered section is seamed with cloth indicating the original coverlet was likely longer.The addition of borders showcase the weaver's proficiency and skill. This Coptic textile was woven in Egypt or the Levant in the 4th - 5th century AD. 

This large fragment has a highly intricate design rendered in the two classic tones associated with Coptic textiles, purplish brown and wheat. It features a central band of octagons primarily filled with lion-like figures except for one central octagon filled with two figures with extraterrestrial-like features. The central is flanked by two borders full of overlapping and intersecting anthropomorphic figures.
