This handwoven Gabbeh was woven in Southern Iran during the 21st century.
It features a field of alternating freeflowing boxes that distort into one another in blue, gray, brown, yellow, green, white and red. It is surrounded by a border of straighter more "classic" squares each with a center featuring simple representations of vegetation, objects or human figures in the same tones as the field. The pile is densely woven, making this a plush rug.
The condition is excellent unused condition, with no signs of wear.
