It features classic patterning associated with the Afshar people of Sirjan. In the center are two latch-hooked medallions on deep navy surrounded by a lacquer-red ground surrounded by a final field of cobalt.  Various greens, turqoise, apricot and aubergine contrast wonderfully and accentuate the various Small symbols and figures that fill the negative space. Nicely framed by an ivory main border which brightens the composition.

This Afshar rug was woven during the end of the 20th century. It features classic patterning associated with the Afshar people of Sirjan. In the center are three small ivory medallions on a deep navy field surrounded by a glowing pink field which itself lays upon a final field of cobalt. The classic palette of reds and blues is rendered in a softer more pastel variant here. Small symbols and figures fill the negative space, making this a very visually interesting rug.

Antique Kerman area Baluch rug featuring patterning more common in nearby Afshar production. The field features an all-over abstraction of the classic Herati design rendered in blues, reds, purples, coral, and ivory on an oxidized brown ground. The major and minor borders are very graphic as well and it is here where colors shine most. Some of the original kilim ends remain intact.

Antique Afshar bagface featuring a field of scrolling vines topped with blossoming botehs in red, stark white, blue, green and a desirable soft burnt orange on a navy ground. It is surrounded by a dinosaur-like primitive bird inner boteh, serrated leaf and rosette outer border which features an exceptional blue. It features the original slit tapestry enclosure that makes use of all the natural dyes in the main weaving for a contrasting zigzag effect.
