Contemporary Afghan Moroccan-Style Rug - 8'1 x 10'
This Moroccan-styled rug was woven during the 21st century in Afghanistan.
It features a simple diamond lattice pattern comprised of speckled gold squares on a cobalt ground. The lattice is consistent but with some subtle nuance in its rhythm and casually breaks apart near the top and bottom of the rendering. Woven of hearty, hand-spun Afghan wool giving it durability and extra heft not commonly found in the Moroccan weaving usually associated with this patterning.
In excellent condition, with no signs of wear. The pile is thick, with a soft handle.
