Rare Small Blue Heriz - 4'9 x 6'3

Regular price $4,500.00 Sale

This Heriz rug was handwoven during the early 20th century.

It features a well-balanced and graphic all-over design in green, teal, brick, beige, gold, and coral on a dark navy ground. An alternating palmette main border on a brick ground frames the composition and is flanked by two minor borders of simple meanders that each use a distinctive blue to a great visual effect. As most Heriz rugs come in large room sizes, this is a hard-to-find format. The addition of the less common all-over pattern and rare blue ground make this a true triple threat.

In very good condition with some professionally and properly done restoration including rewoven end borders. Medium pile with a dense weave and hefty handle.
