This kilim was handwoven in the Konya–Karapınar region of Central Anatolian during the late 19th century.

A radiant piece with an explosive palette and a beautifully articulated double-medallion composition. The weaver layers crimson, apricot, madder rose, turquoise, soft greens, and ivory into a shimmering, prismatic field. These hues create a depth and warmth that are unmistakably Anatolian.

The central diamonds are filled with protection symbols surrounded by a vibrant arrangement of reciprocal hooked cruciforms, a hallmark of Central Anatolian kilims, rendered here in an unusually broad palette. Multiple border systems frame the piece with hexagonal motifs, amulet devices, and a lower skirt of stacked medallions that adds further dynamism.

The kilim retains its original character with minor age-appropriate wear and a wonderfully soft handle. Very good condition with some wear to the ends.
