This 19th century Antique Shahsavan Runner features a column of interconnected diamonds of various sizes on the central axis flanked by flowering shrubs on a lively red ground. Encapsulated by three borders including a fiery orange and brown inner border, a deep blue outer border, and a bright ivory central border which lends the perfect frame. Dramatic abrash along with an eclectic color palette and free-spirited drawing give this rug palpable movement.

19th century Afshar masnad rug featuring a repeat field of cartouche-like devices on a sandy camel field. The devices are outlined in greens and soft blues filled with flowering vases on red ground. Antique Chichi prayer rug featuring classic chi-chi patterning of staggered rows of hooked polygons in soft blues, yellows, greens, and reds on a deep navy field. The top of the field is crowned with a horseshoe-shaped mihrab denoting it was likely intended as a prayer rug. Small symbols can be seen surrounding the mihrab including small combs and blossoming flowers.

This rare small-format suzani was handcrafted in either the Nurata or Shakhrisabz region of Uzbekistan during the middle of the 19th century. It is exquisitely embroidered in silk on a luminous cochineal dyed silk ground. The floral composition features scrolling vines and stylized palmettes in rich jewel tones. Likely made as a dowry chest cover or ceremonial cloth this suzani is backed in Russian roller print trade cloth.
