Alone in Alexandria is a woven tapestry completed by Mary-Ann Sievert in 2020. From Mary-Ann: When the world was confronted with the Covid pandemic in 2020, I felt compelled to create something that could bring some kind of positive energy and relief in the midst of such horror. With its ancient history in Egyptian religion and history, often as an amulet, the scarab became a kind of talisman and hope for a world in desperate need of healing.

At the Vanity is a woven tapestry completed by Mary-Ann Sievert in 1990. From Mary Ann:  My fascination with grids goes back to art school. In my tapestries, they have been the basis of several compositions but I have also broken up the grid into splintered areas that take on a kind of cubist imagery. The work of the Cubist painters has had a great influence on me in both tapestry as well as in painting.
