This kilim was likely handwoven in Eastern Europe during the mid to late 20th century.
It features a central cartouche of interlocked people in greens, browns, gray, and red on an ivory ground. They alternate between figures wearing dresses and trousers.
It is surrounded by a border of squares each depicting various people, flora, fauna, and a well amongst other things.
In very good condition with minimal wear. Flatwoven, with a light yet sturdy handle. Very finely woven.
