This Bidjar was handwoven during the late 19th Century.

It features a graphic central medallion floating above a slightly oxidized brown field. The field is chock full of animals and people including, birds, rabbits, and cats. The people are full of personality with some in the classic hands-on-hips formation, and others with arms outstretched offering a single flower. Some figures have even made their way into the cornices. The interesting scene is enhanced by the wonderful tones of rich red, coral, green, and cool white with electric blues and yellows.

In good condition. The pile is low and dense with a sturdy handle.
