This Röllakan kilim was handwoven in Sweden during the middle of the 20th century. It features a symmetrical layout with soft pastel shades of blue, pink, yellow, and green against an ethereal backdrop. The structured pattern of repeating squares and circles and the totemic green columns create a sense of rhythm and harmony. The background is composed of various marled yarns in ivory, yellow and a grayish green that provide wonderful depth and make the other elements appear to float above it.
