Antique Navajo rug, handwoven in the Southwest US, during the first quarter of the 20th century.

This powerful rug features a totemic corn stalk on a vast gray field. The gray color is created by mixing different strands of undyed wool. The whole is framed by eye-catching zigzag borders in black and white. 

In very good condition, with some unraveling of the corners and bottom right, as pictured. Flatwoven, with a light handle.
