This Yei rug was handwoven by Navajo weavers in Shiprock New Mexico during the middle of the 20th century.

It features two figures alternating with corn stalks in a row, surrounded by a Rainbow Guardian on three sides in a ceremonial-themed design  A bright and cheerful color palette of black, white, yellow, pink, purple, teal sage, and periwinkle pop against a sandy brown ground. The color choice perfectly captures the spirit of the ritual sand paintings these were inspired by. 

In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Flatwoven, with a sturdy but soft handle.
