This kilim was handwoven in Poland during the third quarter of the 20th century.
It features columns of geometric flowers that alternate between groupings of three and two. The orange flowers have a flame-like quality and really pop against the marled gray ground. It has the original import tag still attached to the back which states the design is called "Roze Goralskie" and the designer as "M. Bujakowa".
In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Flatwoven, with a light yet sturdy handle. Would make a wonderful wall piece and was likely intended as such.
