This Röllakan kilim was handwoven in Sweden during the middle of the 20th century.

It features a symmetrical layout with soft pastel shades of blue, pink, yellow, and green against an ethereal backdrop. The structured pattern of repeating squares and circles and the totemic green columns create a sense of rhythm and harmony. The background is composed of various marled yarns in ivory, yellow and a grayish green that provide wonderful depth and make the other elements appear to float above it.

This Antique Navajo rug was handwoven in the Southwest USA during the first quarter of the 20th century.

This striking rug features jagged concentric lines vibrating from a small central diamond. The sharp angles and mottled tones of gray, brown, and red give the lines a dimensionality and they appear to float on the mottled gray inner field and variegated brown outer field. Framed by an inner dentil border and a red and brown serrated perimeter that has a flame like quality.
