This Boujad rug was woven in the Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco during the 20th century.
It features totemic vegetal columns that alternate with various rosette-like protection symbols in brown, green, and ivory on a vibrant Dutch Orange ground. Neatly framed by a thin dark brown perimeter. In rare hard to come by dimensions, a real statement piece.
In very good condition, with minimal wear. The pile is thick, with a hefty handle.
