The top has two strips with pale yellow patterning that add dynamism and the feel of illumination. Nicely framed by an ornate major and minor border which adds gravitas to the composition. The very precise and dense weave makes this rug exceptionally fine.

This silk rug was handwoven during the early 20th century in the city of Tabriz.
