This Karabagh runner was woven in the south Caucasus by Armenians during the late 19th century.  It features an all over herati design pattern in blues, greens, reds, pinks, yellow and ivory on a chocolate ground. The ground has oxidized adding dimensionality to the piece. Framed by a inner laleh abbasi border and three outer borders of scrolling rosettes on exceptional blue and yellow grounds.

This Moroccan-styled rug was woven during the 21st century in India.  It features an idiosyncratic pattern of wonky interconnected diamonds on a ground of alternating stripes in different widths and colors and full of various small diamond shapes. The diamond lattice is outlined in a thick white band flanked by smaller back and green bands and appears to float above the polychrome striped ground that alternates between vibrant tones red, green and watermelon and calmer tones of pale yellow and sand.
