This double saddlebag or "khorjin" was by Kurds in Northwest Iran during the first quarter of the 20th century.
The bag face is low and dense pile, with a flatwoven back in a multicolor striped pattern. The closure is composed of red and blue slit tapestry on the front. The bag-faces feature the traditional Kurdish diagonal design in a rainbow of colors, and two borders. The inner border has a laleh abbasi design while the outer border has a multicolored star design. The variety and depth of color is typical of Kurdish weavings.
In good condition, signs of wear consistent with age.
