This Swedish shag rug was woven during the middle of the twentieth century.
Five leaves in varying sizes in purple, yellow, orange, and green encompass the whole field. Features a beautiful brown ground with light brown shadows beneath the leaves. The design is called "Hölstöv", which translates to 'autumn leaf', and was designed by Ingrid Johansson in the 1960s or 70s.
In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Pile is medium height, with a heavy but soft handle.
