This Lavar Kerman rug was handwoven during the early 20th century.

This intricate rug features a central medallion with a curvilinear floral design and scalloped cornices. The field is a rich raspberry color, nicely contrasted by the lighter pinks and creams of the cornices. The minor borders are composed of vine and leaf motifs, while the main border contains alternating blossoms in diamonds and cartouches. 

In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. The pile is low, with a sturdy handle. Original fringe still intact.
