This Baluch rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century near the border of Iran and Afghanistan.  It features a design of rosette or burr filled diamonds in a lattice format. In tones of madder red, navy, peachy pink and vibrant pops of ivory providing nice nice contrast and visual interest. Finished with multiple columns of selvedge along the sides and finely woven soumak capping the top and bottom. A well balanced and visually intriguing piece.

Framed by a wide main border of multicolored eight-pointed stars on an ivory ground which is flanked by two minor borders of multicolored ovals on a soft red ground. It is finished with a slit kilim top and dotted skirt end. Nicely embellished with a salt and pepper weft float on end.

This Vintage Checker Gabbeh Rug  features a field of checkered squares composed of a variety of variegated tones of undyed wool in shades of gray, beige, and dark and light brown. The squares are neatly yet imperfectly ordered slightly shifting in scale. Each square is clearly delineated in a dark brown outline and the whole composition is framed by a gray band. Both light and dark handspun wool warps were used which add visual interest to the fringes. The pile is densely woven, making this a plush rug.

18th century Central Anatolia This piece captures moments of the field, main border and the skirt lappets. All of the components necessary to envision how the piece would appear in it's original glory. The wonderful and stunning tones have survived over 200 years and still feel electric.
