This Mashad rug was handwoven during the middle of the 20th century. It features an allover design that radiates from a central axis with mirrored sprays of stylized palmettes, saz leaves and rosettes in shades of icy blue, indigo, shell pink and ivory on a silver ground. Nicely framed by a perfectly reconciled main border of palmettes on a midnight blue ground. The original ground color was a purple tone that was not color fast and has perfectly faded into a cool silver tone which is very uncommon in vint

This Tekke main rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century in Turkmenistan. The field features a grid rounded main guls in apricot, indigo, turquoise and ivory on vibrant red ground. The space between the grid is filled with rows of cruciform shaped secondary guls. In a rare square format that allows for very luxurious and open spacing of the guls.

The composition is composed of various weeping willows and floral bouquets in a pleasing palette of blues, reds and pinks on a pale yellow ground.
