This bag face was woven by the Jaff Kurds of the Northern and Central Zagros mountains in Wester Iran during the late 19th century.  It features the classic Jaff interlocking diamond pattern in bright, cheerful colors. It is framed on three sides by a fun and wonky laleh abbasi border in black and red that becomes black triangles on a red ground before shifting back to laleh abbasi but with the colors reversed. The fourth side features red and white circles on an indigo ground.

Framed by a main border of scrolling vegetation in pink, green, ivory and gold on an icy blue ground.  Well-balanced with a desirable palette in a hard to come by size.
