This Phulkari was embroidered in undivided Punjab during the 19th century.
Phulkari is a tradition of folk embroidery from the Punjab region that encompasses both India and Pakistan. This Phulkari was crafted in four strips of ivory and gold silken thread atop terracotta dyed cotton. Crafted in the 19th century and beautifully worn through use and time surviving into the 21st.
