This Coptic textile was woven in Egypt or the Levant during the 5th-7th century AD.
This colorful piece features a fragment that includes various parts of a tree or floral motif, multiple borders including matching minor borders of flowering vines, and a main border of rosettes and gourd-like shapes. Very finely woven with crisp rendering and nice contrast.
In good condition considering its significant age. The fragment has been mounted to a fabric and framed to better display and secure the piece.
