This Turkish rug is woven in western Anatolia during the second quarter of the 20th Century.  This rug features two stepped diamond devices atop vast rasberry red ground with various half and quarter medallions along the perimeter in purple, orange and yellow. Framed by a main border that alternates between large palmettes and bouquets of smaller 8 pointed rosettes and various minor borders including diagonal stripes, tulips and interlocking combs.

This Geometric Turkish Tulu  features a pattern of intersecting concentric diamonds formed of various squares in red, black, yellow and ivory. Coarsely rendered in shaggy wool creating a plush pile.   In good condition, with uneven fading and wear near the ends. Pile is thick and shaggy, with a soft handle.

This Kayseri rug was handwoven in Turkey during the third quarter of the 20th century.  It features a central medallion on an open field with four cornices. The ornate patterning is softened by the limited palette of beiges and browns. Soft tones and limited contrast make this a very easy rug to decorate around.

Antique Turkish prayer rug featuring the classic long and narrow latch-hooked Mihrab associated with the town of Nigde between Yahyali and Konya in central Anatolia. The main field is composed of the rich orangey-red mihrab on a silvery ground of faded fuchsine dyes and flanked by two cartouches each with rows of three stylized blossoms. With a main border featuring a soft zigzag meandering around olive-like cintamani symbols on a caramel ground.

This Antique Silk Turkish Hereke features two columns and a hanging lantern. The mihrab is mostly open with a rich orange tone made more sumptuous when rendered in silk.
