This Baluch rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century (1900-1925) in western Afghanistan.

It features a repetitive diamond pattern in diagonal stripes of yellow, pink and blue across the field. An ivory border surrounds the rug comprised of a grid of four botehs symbols alternating with rosettes in a constantly changing palette.

Wear is consistent with age, missing a small section in the bottom right corner as pictured.
