This antique Julkhyr was woven during the early 20th century in Uzbekistan.
It is composed of two columns of diamond devices where each row is paired in a similar style. The simple color palette of fiery oranges, blues, reds, and ivory is given depth and life by the alternating order of color in each row. Woven in multiple strips with two thin solid color blocks flanking the center, one in blue and the other in brown.
In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age.
