The design of this sweet little rug is composed of three medallions. Brightly rendered geometric shapes and symbols fill in the field in a freeform manner. Of special note is a tree flanked by two abstract peacocks at the “bottom” of the field. The main border is composed of alternating hooked cartouches. A lovely palette of beautiful blues, reds, greens purples, and pinks.
In fair condition, with significant wear especially through the center, as pictured. The pile is low, with a soft handle. Edges have been reinforced to prolong longevity.
