Late 19th century handwoven Caucasian Shirvan rug. Woven with a very colorful palette of blues, browns, greens, oranges, and purples, featuring concentric diamonds in an asymmetrical design. Protective symbols and flowers throughout, with a candy stripe outer border. Pile is worn in some places, with some oxidized areas that give it an appealing dimensionality. In good overall condition, with signs of wear consistent with age (pictured).
