HERIZ
It features an atypical medallion-and-field composition centered around a coral octagonal medallion filled with angular palmettes and rosettes. The surrounding field is rendered in a softly abrashed sky-to-steel blue with scrolling vinery, serrated leaves, and stylized blossoms. The spandrels echo the motif density of the field yet shift toward coral and salmon tones that warm the overall composition.

Unusual Antique Heriz Rug - 8'2 x 11'6

Regular price $9,500.00 Sale

This Heriz rug was handwoven during the early 20th century.

In another uncommon twist, a vertical line of single rosettes connects the spandrels, giving the piece a balanced cadence and visual continuity.

The palette is particularly attractive and sought after, lending the rug a lighter, more contemporary feel while remaining distinctly village in character.

In very good condition with even wear consistent with age and use, retaining a soft handle and a pleasing surface. Some professional restoration has been performed but blends seamlessly into the pile.
