This Baluch rug was handwoven at the Afghan/Iran border during the early 20th century.
It features a classic mina khani design and is woven in a simple and straightforward palette of deep reddish-brown, navy, and brick with small pops of ivory. The main border has a larger scale laleh abbasi or reciprocating pawns border.
In good condition with a wobbly selvedge made of goat hair. Ends have been reinforced for longevity.
