Gansu rug from the fourth quarter of the 20th century, handwoven in China.
This cheerful rug features a soft golden yellow field and persimmon orange border. The design is composed of a central medallion, with four cornices and floral forms throughout. The design is woven in light and dark indigo blue, with orange being used for the detail work.
In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Pile is medium and lushly woven, with a soft handle. Original kilim ends are still intact.
