This Fa-ti rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century in China.
Features a simple central medallion depicted plant filled vases. There are pictorial scenes of birds and flowers lightly drawn in blue on a tan ground. A large indigo main border and showcases flowering lotuses and coins among other auspicious symbols representing the “eight precious things”.
Wear is consistent with age.
