This Afshar rug was woven in South Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century. It features two blossoming diamond medallions rendered in ivory, blue and brown with touches of orange and yellow on a coral field.The main border is composed of a classic Afshar geometric on a deep brown ground. A flowering vine composes the meandering minor border.
In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Low pile, with a strong but soft handle.
