This prayer rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century in central Anatolia.
It features a latch-hooked Mihrab woven on a soft orangey-mauve field. The bottom panel features three blossoming tulip motifs in the opposite direction of the Mihrab. The main border features a geometric flower pattern in browns, pinks, yellow, and orange on an ice purple-blue ground. Lots of fun pastel tones that aren't often seen in vintage rugs. In good condition, with wear throughout, especially in the Mihrab (as pictured). Edges and sides have been reinforced for longevity. The pile is low and soft.
